IMPROVING DESIGN AND DELIVERY OF PUBLIC SERVICES FOR CUSTOMERS

What you need when you need it: the power of user-centred design

Digital services become popular and widely-adopted when they are easy to use, save citizens time, and improve the quality of service delivery. Across the world, governments are developing user-centred services. Singapore, for example, has been building online services that are highly-rated by users and offer clear benefits in easing people’s interactions with businesses as well as government bodies.

This roundtable will demystify the elements of user-centred design for senior officials.

At this workshop a senior digital leader will discuss the concept and explore how public servants are putting the theory into practice. It will look at how the US government can adopt a methodology that ensures designers and developers to build services around the needs and interests of users rather than providers.
